He Commands the Clouds

I just needed some fresh air and sunlight. I approached the front door only to be greeted by dark clouds and an overcast sky. "It looks gray and dreary outside," I said to the person on the other end of the phone line. While thinking maybe I shouldn't go out there, the Holy Spirit said, "You should go outside."

I opened the door and stepped out only to confirm that the clouds were dark and the air was misty. I took several more steps, pondering whether to venture on the lawn on not.

Suddenly, I felt the warmth of the sun intensifying. As I looked up to the sky, I witnessed the dark clouds rolling away and the sun shining in all its glory. "Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus!" I exclaimed. "The clouds are gone, and it's so sunny now," I told my prayer partner.

Together, we had a praise session. After a few minutes of glorifying God, I closed my eyes and began to pray. Suddenly, I felt a warm breeze circling around me. "I feel the wind. It's swirling around me. Oh, the warmth of the Holy Spirit," I said in the midst of my prayers.

As I slowly opened my eyes, the wind released its hug of me. Looking towards the trees at the end of my driveway, I saw the swaying leaves displaying their dance with the wind. "The leaves are waving," I uttered in amazement. There is an object lesson in this for us," my prayer partner said. "No matter the dark circumstances we are in. We just have to look to the Son. He will clear it all away."

"What a wonderful God we serve!" I responded and repositioned my phone to capture the sky in that moment. I thought I was going outside to get some vitamin D and fresh air. I got so much more. God reassured me that if I obeyed Him, every dark cloud will be removed from my life because He commands the clouds. If I continue to obey Him, I will experience His glory and feel the power of the Holy Spirit.
